Emerging trends 2015 – Part II

A new year brings in a whole new set of home trends. And while some things that became popular in the last year, are now “modern classics”. And there are others that have run their course too. Redecorating your entire property can be costly in both time and funds, but subtle nods to the latest trends in interior design keep things looking and feeling fresh. Are you ready to give your home an easy update? Adding to the previous article, here is a look on the highly running trends for 2015.

1.Multiple master suites - The most convenient way to give family its due time is by having two master bedroom suites, each with its own adjoining bathroom. This can be made easier by having both the master bedrooms at the main level. It makes a house work better for multiple generations. Such an arrangement also allows grown children and aging parents to move in for long- or short-term stays. The arrangement also welcomes out-of-town guests and friends. After all, we all have cousins and families, don’t we?

2.Energy Conservation - Builders are now addressing environmental and health concerns with holistic solutions like ventilation systems that filter air continuously and use little energy. Other new ways to improve healthfulness include lighting systems that utilize sunshine, solar powered generators, swimming pools that eschew chlorine and salt by featuring a second adjacent pool with plants and gravel that cleanse water, and edible gardens starring ingredients such as rosemary, mint and various other herbs.

3.Storage – It is human need to have that extra space. The new buzzword is “specialized storage,” placed right where it’s needed. We all want everything to have its place. More home owners are increasingly willing to pare the dimensions of a second or third bedroom in order to gain a suitably sized walk-in closet in their master bedroom. In a kitchen, it may mean a “super pantry”—a butler’s pantry with prep space, open storage, secondary appliances. This helps to minimize clutter in the main kitchen area.

4.Magnificent garages– It’s not just us who occupy space in a home but also our automobiles. They occupy a large chunk of the space. Garages now have new trends this year. Which include, bringing the driveway’s material into the garage, temperature controls, automatic open – shut mechanism, sleek doors, specialized zones for home appliances controls, and a big sink or tub to wash pets. For home owners with deeper pockets, car lifts have gone residential.

5.Doorlock – The doorlock systems have taken a whole new transformation. Keyless entry is the new trend. There is no hassle even if you have forgotten your key. Builders have started to switch to biometric fingerprint door locks with numerical algorithms entered in a database. Some systems permit home owners to track who entered and when. This adds to the security of the house and keeps you reassured even when away.

Architects at Saran Developers have foreseen the upcoming trends and shaped a plan around them so as to incorporate any chic combinations in home design. It combines benchmark lifestyle features that make the apartments at Mulberry Woods only that much more loveable.
