Inexpensive Ways to Decorate Your Home

Home is where your heart lies, where you can feel yourself. The way you keep your home shows a lot about you, your home is your reflection. From the brightly lit up drawing room to the secret grocery store and garage, every nook and corner talks about you. This is why you decorate your house your way or are on a roll to get the house done by an interior designer, who turn your house into a dream home and in return leave you broke. Isn’t it? Well, the service costs sky high for it adds to the value of your precious asset. You do not have to go crazy emptying your pockets but add a few colours, give a new look to old things and your home will feel like a birthday baby.

Put forth are a few startling tips that will cost you nothing but will shine on the beauty of your home.

  • Add colour where you least expect it.
Nothing perks up a dead place than a little colour and the most fun parts to paint would be the ones that are in front of you but get least noticed. Usually one sees painted rooms with white trim, you do it just the other way round. Add contrast colours on the rim of your drawers and it will be fun retrieving something from it, every time you use it.
  • Hang plates of different sizes and colours.
Plates in the most unexpected colours make a wonderful wall arrangement. Varied hues & designs on your wall add a unique look. You can put the most dramatic or different plate at the centre and then place others. Attach plate hangers to the plates before you plan to enhance the beauty of your home.
  • Brighten up the wicker.
Wicker is an inexpensive sitting arrangement that looks as if it belongs to outdoors and therefore uplifts the mood. You can put chairs in a sunny corner of their own or mix them with upholstered pieces.
  • Pick from nature’s basket.
Use stones, shells, dried sticks and other beach bounty to create a rustic and a relaxed look to a kitchen, stairwell or an entry way.
  • Hang a gallery of photos
Treasure your albums for the best shots. Pick a theme like weddings, birthday parties, vacations etc. and put them in an identical frame. Place them in a line or a closely tugged grid.
  • Bring in colourful lamps.
Well, coloured lamp shades add a bold statement to the room you place. Though, try limiting the colours to one per room, and select other lamp shades in neutral tones, such as parchment and white.
  • Talk of colourful candles.
Candles massed on a spacious surface like a coffee table looks glamorous. The larger the surface, the more candles should be. To feel the difference, set four or five pillars of different heights and widths of the same colours in glass containers.

Do give it a shot to these ideas and let us know how they worked for you. We at Saran Developers aim at providing you spacious homes; so you can get creative and decorate your interiors.
